The Armory Show
David Nolan Gallery
Booth 113

David Nolan, an art fair veteran who first participated in The Armory Show in 2001 and has also shown at Art Basel internationally for 30 years, is pleased to present a salon-style booth of 100 works on paper spanning 1948 to present. While maintaining Nolan's characteristically academic lens, the presentation concept deftly responds to the current appetite of the art market––both conceptually and in terms of price point.

Prices range from $5-10k for Steve DiBenedetto, Wardell Milan, Robert Wilson, and Rosemarie Trockel to $80-100k for Richard Artschwager, Carroll Dunham, William Copley, Chuck Close, Albert Oehlen, Martin Kippenberger, and Robert Smithson. The selection brings together artists of varied nationalities and formal backgrounds (spanning painting, sculpture, set design, photography, conceptual and installation art) who all turned to drawing as an essential part of their practice.

Exhibited in collaboration with Marc Selwyn Fine Art, the ambitious, salon-style installation will pair established voices with exceptional works by lesser-known artists, creating a compelling dialogue that underscores the vitality and diversity of contemporary and modern drawing practices.
